One of four specialty ArcFM edit tasks, ArcFM Manual Angle Setter provides users the ability to place point features in the map and set their angle of rotation in a single process. A simple two-click placement sequence permits you to define an insertion point at click one and an angle of symbol rotation at click two. In between clicks one and two, you can access the Sketch Context Menu for precision angle commands like Direction, or simply drag the cursor to the desired angle using eyeball accuracy. The result: a new, precisely placed and rotated feature based on your exact field measurements and/or your organization's cartographic standards. ArcFM Manual Angle Setter has direct relevance to both editors and designers working with electric, gas, water/wastewater, and even landbase data.
To use the ArcFM Manual Angle Setter edit task, simply enable it on-the-fly inside edit mode by swapping the default edit task of Create ArcFM Feature to ArcFM Manual Angle Setter via the Task dropdown on the Editor toolbar within ArcMap.
(A special note to Administrators: ArcFM Manual Angle Setter can also be configured as the default edit task for any feature class via the ArcFM Properties Manager, Object Info tab in ArcCatalog. And it can also be applied to Composite Favorites via the Create Composite Favorite dialog.)
